What Can I Expect From My Adjustment?
At Vida Chiropractics, you get more than a routine adjustment. Our chiropractor, Dr. Pomfrey, will take the time to speak with you and learn about your health history, as well as perform a physical exam that focuses on your spine and any other pain points.
The process of adjustment includes:
- Receive a massage to release any tension and warm up your spine and muscles.
- A high velocity, short lever arm thrust applied to a vertebra.
- An accompanying, audible release of gas from the joint.
- A relieving sensation once the pressure has been alleviated.
Dr. Pomfrey may also recommend preventive care, such as specific exercises, and he may give you ergonomic recommendations on how to correctly bend and lift, as well as how to regularly maintain care of your back.
